A Visit to the Dentist

I have always dreaded visits to the dentist. Prolly they shouldn't have made the movie - The Dentist about a mad dentist torturing others orally. Well, what's worse is that I have a pretty bad feeling about this visit and a gurl's instinct is always correct.

I was darn right.(How I wish I wasn't) The news hit me like an anchor fallen out of nowhere.

All your wisdom teeth are impacted and they need to be
removed....Pronto~!

Oh my goodness!!!!! Why me? WHY ME?!!!!! *shriek echoed**glass shattered*

As the following 30 minutes ticked by as though it was only one, the dentist successfully persuaded me to remove all of them in one blow. What could I say? As the saying goes, I'm meat on the chopping board. I'm dead meat anyways.

And the next 3 hours was pure torture........

And I ended up looking like this at the end of the day...

ARGGGHHHHHHHHHH~!!!! *woman shriek*

Home Sweet Home

It's so gud to be HOME...

I finally felt what's like to be embraced by a cocoon of contentment and enjoyment.

To be protected by a safe warm home. To have a family to confide to. To have absolute attention and to laze around with absolutely nothing to fret. I never knew I was permitted to be such a spoilt brat at home.

No more laundry. No more cooking. No more dish washing. No more cleaning. No more grocery hunting. And heck no to endless walking..*chuckles* except shopping.

Well, one thing remains unchanged - the fact that I still turn in late and wake up late the other day.

Recuperating from isomnia and stress

First day 17 NOV 2006

It's been days after our final test

On the same day

we went to Stockland Jesmond

In search of Yee Man's birthday present

A crystal angel caught our eyes

To me it shouldn't cost that much

But that's how it is over here

For the price of one

we could prolly get a dozen over at M'sia

After having a nice long chat at KFC

We walked back to Barahineban

and gave the angel we bought

to its rightful owner

Sunday 19 NOV 2006

As usual

We had a "peaceful" dinner tonight

with EJ and William

After a few rounds of

HEARTATTACK with UNO

and having JL as the winner

We went to the common room

for a few rounds of table tennis

Boys were just being easy on us gurls

EC's killer blow really made me

run for cover and endless efforts

to go and pick up the balls

Needless-to-say

I'm the worst~

Monday 20 NOV 2006

Our plan for the day

CHARLESTOWN!

We missed the first bus

Many thanks to EC

However we did see EJ drove by

45 minutes passed

before Bus 226 finally came into view

However

having made a boo-boo

we ended up at the beach

instead of being at Charlestown

Nonetheless

we had lunch at a local Thai restaurant

and some ice cream (EC's treat)

after having ample eye candy

for hunkies at the beach

After which

we went to the park

having few rounds of

stick-tossing at each other

XD

EC should feel her breasts gotten bigger

And darn these flies

with their ceaseless pester

Counting the days

to finally go back to Malaysia

You Should Be A Cancer

What's good about you: you're incredibly kind, caring, and generous

What's bad about you: you can be too moody and impossible to understand

In love: you enjoy wining and dining the object of your affection

In friendship, you're: likely to depend on other friends for emotional support

Your ideal job: historian, marine biologist, or religious figure

Your sense of fashion: you dress to match your mood

You like to pig out on: classic home cooked meals, like mac and cheese

Study Study STUDY!!!!

===================

There I am

in front of the devil itself

when my face should be buried

within piles of papers

filled with countless words

Preparing myself for D-day

Roomie

On the other hand

Seems so indulged in studying

That she even grasp the moments

when she should be in bed

to study and study more

Can't help feeling ashamed

Though

Can't resist the temptation either

Gotta stop.......

Can almost hear MK with her usual *tsk*-es

Your friends see you as painstaking and fussy.

They see you as very cautious, extremely careful, a slow and steady plodder.

It'd really surprise them if you ever did something impulsively or on the spur of the moment.

They expect you to examine everything carefully from every angle and then usually decide against it.
How Do People See You?

Your Personality Profile

You are dependable, popular, and observant.

Deep and thoughtful, you are prone to moodiness.

In fact, your emotions tend to influence everything you do.

You are unique, creative, and expressive.

You don't mind waving your freak flag every once and a while.

And lucky for you, most people find your weird ways charming!

How Shy am I??

You Are 76% Shy

You are a very shy person, and it has started to impact your life in a negative way.

If you can avoid human contact, you usually do.

And as a result, you miss out on a lot

The most important thing is not the fact that you've made a mistake,

But
that you realise your mistakes and gain the courage to fix them

Oops, I spoke again...

================

To those who knew me

I've been

as they say

cool...

****

I've always been a gurl with few words

It's as if my lips are sealed

I won't confide

My problems

My thoughts

Nor my feelings

To anyone

****

As time passes

I have been accustomed

to sit at a corner

All by myself

to be alone

In fact

No one ever knew the real me

Or rather

It was I

who hid behind the shades

who concealed myself

from others

from being hurt

****

As I mature

I tried to express myself

to no longer be an outcast

of the world around me

With small

careful steps

I tried to verbalize

My thoughts

My problems

and My feelings

I'd like everyone to know of my existence

I'd want to be a part of the play

****

I started to

babble on and on

until

I'd talk and joke

about anything at all

Yet

Out of the blue

it struck me

a heavy blow on my face

****

In the end

It seems that

I've been wrong

I was oblivious to the fact that

I've been arrogant

been self-centered

been unkind to others

The words

I've used and uttered

have not been kind words

More like arrows they seem

which struck and sank deeply

into the heart of others

****

The Tide is High - By Atomic Kitten

Never Give Up

Never Give Up

The tide is high

But I'm holding on

I'm gonna be your number one

I'm not the kinda girl

Who gives up just like that

Oh no...Woo~

***** ***** *****

Everytime that I get

the feeling

You give me something
to believe in

Everytime that I got
you near me

I do not believe that
I want it to be

***** ***** *****

But you know that

I am gonna take
my chance now

I am gonna make
it happen somehow

And you know I can
take the pressure

A moment is pain for
a lifetime pleasure

Procrastination

**Listening to The Cheetah Girls - I Won't Say (I'm In Love)**

Hehe. XD

Procrastination struck me again. With absolutely no momentum at all to indulge in studying, I'm kinda having fun blogging.

No ever-so-boring notes

no head scratching moments

no thoughts tangling jiffy..

Hey~ I'm having my break here, it's already an ample reason to shun all responsibilities, unwind and all. Yet again, it's an EXCUSE! I'm aware..to flee from reality..

No chance no way, I won't say it..No no..
Give up, Give in..
Get off my case..

Hehe..The lyrics kinda correspond to my feelings. It seems that procrastination has taken over me once more, I wonder I will day-dream soon..

Sydney

5,6th October 2006

**I'm outta here!! XD (quote Genie from Aladdin)**

Warabrook station is such a small station, heck~ Picture those station located in the midst of nowhere, without a soul in sight. Such a sad place you might think, but the country view was picturesque. I even caught sight this notice that mentioned that it was a magpie attack zone. Haha..Not a thing you would see in M'sia. The train was surely behind schedule as we were already indulged in bird watching.

After having changed trains at Hamilton, it was a dreadfully boring 2 1/2 hours' ride ahead. Due to not having ample rest the night before, I was already dozing off minutes after we boarded the intercity train. And to be frank, I was freezing to death with the cold air blowing from above and was fidgeting in my seat throughout the ride. **Argh, my side profile is really very ugly** Thanks to EC.

*Wynyard*

Our first destination. We spotted the MAS office miraculously not getting lost, apparently our sense of direction wasn't so bad after all. Haha..To think someone spent a good 8 hours searching for it. XD After which, we travelled back to Central and head towards our second destination.

*Chinatown*

This was where we headed to fill our grumbling tummies. There's so many to choose from and we dunno where to start. We all agreed on having something we can't have boring old Newbie, this was what we had. ROAST PORK~! A sense of nostalgia struck me, I really wish I had a handkerchief to bite onto and cry, like those pathetic person in animes XD. After each of us took turns visiting the washroom, we head towards YHA and fortunately we got a room for the night.
JL and EC fancied sleeping on the upper bed, so MK and I had to stick to the bed beneath them. The room cost us AUD34.50 per pax and I think it was a pretty reasonable price. The dinner we had wasn't merely as scrumptious as the roast lunch we had. Besides, I was positive that the waitress had an apparent intention of having us outta there after finishing our plates. Despise her doing so.

Oh ya..We also dropped by Darling Harbour before dinner. It was really a spectacular view of the wharf there, and gosh I really wish I could go for the Sydney Aquarium. Haha.. However, we did pop by the same souvenir shop thrice. Funny huh? Both MK and I hadn't had any photo taken at the wharf, thus we were saying that as though we were never there at that moment if compared to EC, JL and William.

*Circular Quay*
Our last destination before we leave for boring old Newbie.

Sherry

**Finally!**

I just couldn't believe it.. We finally survived through the impossible, 5 reports in a week- Beat that!

After a tiring week and with holiday around the corner, it's high time we celebrate. And what more to do than our favourite past time here at boring Newbie -- Alcohol. This time we chose to try out sweet sherry, having a content of alcohol up to 18%. Oh ya, my lemon chicken was a success too. Juz wait, I'll open up a restaurant to beat "Oceanic"! Muahahaha..Oops..

**Stick back to the sherry part**

My tolerance to alcohol was really pathetic man~!Only a few slurp and *dong*..on the verge of being drunk!Face was turning red like a baboon's butt..

Perhaps MK didn't mention, I was really a sure loser! I admit! Was my bad..took the card game too seriously. Come to think of it, really was silly of me. Sorry ya MK.

EC was the best amongst us all at drinking. She really didn show any changes after drinking the most..Thumbs up for EC.William and YM didn wanna drink, so the penalty for them was juz plain H2O. But we all had a great time.

At the beach again~!

Haha.. The beach again. I lurve it here! Sea breeze swipes away my miseries whereas the waves splash away my sorrows. And what's more, to share this splendid time at the beach with my beloved friends, MK, JL and EC.

We made it there in one piece! That's something to brag about, since it's our first bus trip.Quite expensive though. And praise god for having such a lovely weather.JL and EC brought their swimming gear and so hastily they changed in the ladies whilst MK and I juz went in with the clothes we wore. There was a lot of splashing and shouting and in the end everyone was wet. Having enuf of the very salty sea water, we sat on the beach shivering as the breeze blew towards us.

EC then "volunteered",I think, for the one to be buried in the sand. We started our progress by burying her and I start making the mermaid's tail for her. She was giggling every now and then, making the sands tumbling off her. Funny though, she offered for a hourglass shaped figure, but we end up giving her a totally "out" figure, like a surfboard. Wakekeke. Feeling sorry for her to have to endure us for so long.Strangely though, I fancy the sign which says "Submerged Objects"

MK and JL was hunk-hunting for a sec there, but the search ended up in vain as they responded that there was none in sight. HAha. But they seem to notice some on the way back. I was freaking hungry on the way back and hunted for food before we embarked on the journey back. We certainly had a great time, and looking forward to the next trip to the beach.

A day at the beach

Aww... Do we hafta leave so soon?

It's my second trip to the beach and I must say I do really love being there

*No wonder JL went all nuts when overhearing the word BEACH* XD

As we approach te shop, the aroma of fresh baked waffle was actually tingling down my spine. How I miss the times when we bake in the kitchen and end up messing up the whole place. There was a diverse variety of ice-cream to choose from and I really dunno where to start!

"Can I have a scoop of every flavor please?" MK say I'm nuts when I told her so.

In the end, I chose the same flavour as she did- English Toffee. A single scoop was more than enuf, as a matter of fact, it seemed to me as though we had double scoop. Can't possibly imagine how triple scoop helping would be. I mean, WOW!

With the ice cream in our hand, we walked towards the beach. It was kinda cloudy and the wind was definitely blowing hard. EC and JL claimed that eating ice cream made them feel colder as the wind blow. So both of them stood at a spot of sunshine till they finished their ice cream. JL even had her sock on when she went, how odd.. Proves that indeed the weather was too much for them. Being the polar bears, MK and I just stood there allowing the breeze to embrace us.

Gels

Compare these two gels:

Haha.. Needless to say then! Definitely the one on the RIGHT..

Yoohoo! We finally got some pretty good bands today~

Rinngg.. *Toot*

HM: Hello

MK: HM! Big Problem~!

HM: What?! What happened?

MK: The voltage for the gel was 76V (Instead of being 120V) No wonder the bands are not going down.

HM: HARH?!!!!

(At that moment, I was absolutely positive that I was on the verge of killing myself..)

...

DEMON: What are you guys doing? Why are you loading the wells 1 then 3? What happens to two?

JL, EC, MK, HM: ....

DEMON: How many samples do you guys have?

MK: 1?

Further pesterin from DEMON made MK bloated out:" I'M SO CONFUSED NOW~!!"

DEMON: You can't be confused! bla bla bla~

(Frankly I think her purpose of being there is definitely not helping at all)

DEMON: Then what are you loading in well 2?

MK: Native sample buffer?

DEMON: And why would you be doing that?

JL, EC, MK, HM: ....

DEMON: You must know what you're doing.. bla bla bla (There she goes again)

HM: We do that to stop the bands from smearing onto each other.

DEMON: ... *nodded* bla bla bla.. (Finally walked away..PHEW!!)

(P/S: DEMON is the abbreviation I use to annotate the lab demonstrator, that's why DEMON..No offense..Not really meant as in evil)
