The Power of Momentum

"Why the heck am I going through all this?!"

Seriously, I was bombarded endlessly by this remark in my head all along the way from Jalan Ipoh to Subang Jaya. You should have been in bed, snoring away like a pig, it reprimanded me.

True..And when I recalled the duration of the seminar being a whole 12 hours, shrieks came echoing. I want my bed~! I want my beauty sleep~! I want my fluffy pillow~!

Too late. In no time, I was at McD ordering a McEgg muffin which cost me 3 bucks. Then, with heavy traffic near TCSJ, we managed to inch along the road to SS12 and finally found our destination-- Holiday Villa.

Ahh~ TCSJ.. Sure brings back a lot of memorable stuff. The early rush for parking lot, the painstaking effort for coins (parking ticket), Desperately in search of seats in the cafeteria, vacancies for computer in the library and the web..Not forgetting chatters and lessons we had in Comp Lab, Room 3.2 and LT8. Yea. Sweet memories. (*except the parking part!)

According to the net,

HOLIDAY VILLA SUBANG , set on a pristine lake, along 8 acres of land, is a gallery of masterpieces. Holiday Villa Subang is a deluxe 5-star business hotel and recreation club. Ideal for both business and leisure. It's elegant interior of marble and impressive sculptures and paintings, warmed by the welcoming smiles of our staff beckons even the most disceming traveller. A rhapsody of warmth, hospitality and impeccable service.

Well, all I can say from my first impression was that it doesn't look so fancy a deluxe 5-star hotel.

The next thing I saw was, the reception was crowded with business entities. At that moment, I was sure I felt like being cheated or something. This seminar is entirely for those into the business field. Why am I here?

WHY?!~~~

To be continued...

Stay tuned for the next adventures of Cassie.. XD

Window Shopping? I think NOT~

Today, as usual, mum thought of a way to escape chores -- SHOPPING~! And where to spend some quality time to shop til drop? MIDVALLEY!...

It's always been hectic trying to find a parking lot at midvalley (often drives me totally mad!), but today there's plenty of space around. Mum even took her own sweet time choosing the "safest" lot. *chuckles*

With our stomach grumbling, we went for brunch at Jade's Palace. Mum's treat, of course. I ordered rice with roast pork. Yummy, SATURATED FAT! In the end, we had a wee bit too much of the spring onion dipping that we could hardly finish our bowl of rice.

After which, we walked past shops without the slightest intention to buy anything at all. Promoters stood motionless as we walked by. Somehow I wondered what I'd look like them if I were in their shoes. Hah~! Fat chance.

Somehow the act of buying miraculously commenced when we walked into "LABELZ". Mum had me trying on almost all of the dresses in the shop. When I looked myself in the mirror, I was like " Oh my gosh! I'm bloating up like a balloon. " And I blame the culprit -- saturated fat.

After some very painstakingly troublesome moments in the fitting room, we managed to buy four of which most suitable for both me and sis to share. It costed us RM196 in total (a fair price, I must say). Frankly I'm the indecisive and faltering type of shopper who's often gonna end up empty-handed, so I may need some "professional" advice, like Mum's. However, the buying didn't cease there.

Moments later, we went into THE FACE SHOP and ended up spending RM 288 on cosmetic stuff. No wonder dad's always nagging about his theory of "Women are spend thrifts" & "Women's munny is the easiest fast earning-money". Due to too much professional advice, we ended up buying 2 mascara, 2 eyeliner, 2 eyeshadow, 1 nail polish and 2 dunno wart hydrafresh spray. According to the salesperson, "The spray maintains your face at around 15 degree and locks in the moisture within...." I don't know about you, but it seems to me that it's another one of those products that doesn't have appealing effects. What's more, it's also on promotion, so I figured that's the reason why mum bought 2 of it. Well, another reason is that with a purchase of over RM250, there are free gifts. In the end, not only we got the stuff that we bought, there's also a set of almond-scented candles, 2 boxes of tissues, a mug, as well as a diary and a desktop calendar of a certain Korean artist.

WORLD OF PUZZLES is just around the corner. Luckily I stopped mum before she spent another RM140 for a box of 1000 pieces jingsaw puzzle of "The Nightmare Before Christmas" (Though frankly I like that puzzle as well)

Has the world gone mad?

*Warning* Unsightly images enclosed. Viewer's Discretion is adviced!

Here I was, a minute ago...surfing the net in peace. Why o' why do they have to torture me so?

Mum came strolling by and caught sight of my ever-so-disturbing fringe (At least it seems to her that way..). She mentioned something about wanting to do something about it and walked away. Moments later, I thought she came back with some pins to deal with the fringe. Heck! I was so wrong.

I almost jumped up when something eerie touched me in the forehead. Mum was meddling with my hair~! using my brother's hair wax. Yuck! I hate that stuff, coz it gives a strong hold texture, mostly for styling spiky hair. Hate it! Hate it! Hate it!

And my sis had found the golden opportunity to rush over ...not to rescue me...But snap the evidence of my hideous, unsightly looks with my mobile. THANKS A LOT!

Here I post these images just for some laughs. Please do not forward the images (especially mine).
