John Hunter's & Charlestown

Laugh at me if you wish. Frankly, I still can't grasp the exact timing when the bus will be arriving. But this time I've made progress, just that the driver lectured me a lil for not signaling to him. Err.. *Speechless*

The streets were packed with vehicles today. An unusual sight indeed. But not as hectic as the terrible jam in KL, which is why the bus was still able to reach its destination on time. I was then directed to the diagnostic centre when I arrived at Royal Newcastle Centre. The place was.. erm.. put it this way.. quiet. Lucky there's no queue and no number-taking. It was my turn straight away though there was a minor slip-up.

A short conversation at the Reception ..

Woman: I've checked and there's no profile created for you in the database yet .. *several clicks on the mouse*.. Not your fault anyways *Smile*... ... But this will take a bit longer ..

Me (in thoughts): *Roll eyes* Oh god~! I wonder how long this is gonna take.

Woman: Is your title Mrs? or Miss?

Me: (without haste) Miss..

Moments of questioning later ..

Woman: We've arranged a X-ray session for you. Please be seated and hopefully you'll be called soon.

Me: Thank you

Then, I settled down at the waiting area and of course, I thought I would have to endure long hours of waiting. Miraculously, I was called within 2 minutes. Astoundingly fast leh~ Tracey was the friendly girl who attended to me. Another short funny conversation between me & Tracey:

Tracey: *positioning the machine* Just to ask whether you having any implications like pregnancy etc..?

Me: Heavens no~!

Tracey: *Giggles* Just a routine question. I just need to confirm whether you are pregnant before I can proceed. Besides, that's the last thing you would bring back from a foreign country right?

Me: Hehe..

All in all, the whole visit only took 15 minutes, before I reached Charlestown Square at 10am. Along the way the wind was mischievously playing pranks on every passers-by. Luckily I wasn't wearing a skirt, or maybe I might end up like this:

Marilyn Monroe

At first glance, most of the shop outlets were having a grand sale, with discounts up to 70%. I spent my time weaving in and out of every shops. However, I wasn't able to find anything worth buying. I intended on buying a puffy jacket to combat the cold climate but since they don't have my size, I had to give in.

Out of the blue, I spotted two suspicious characters. I planned to back away from them, but one of them spotted me instead and was telling the other about me. Haha. I caught both "culprits" red-handed! Well, it was not long before I bumped into another surprise. Another familiar character came into view and I came to realise that she's gonna meet up with the other two I saw earlier. Amusingly, they confused the place to meet. I wonder if they manage to meet after I left with my 2-piece-feed.

Conclusion: After spending three whole hours o' window-shopping, I ended up with nothing I intended to buy except two bags o' groceries and a bottle of nail polish. Guess the only thing I can afford is none other than -- FOOD! Or maybe I'm just pure Oh-Ba-San-ish.

This was the robe I nearly bought (costs AUD42) but didn't. Anyways, it looks cool on me. (Perasan-NYa)
Guess maybe I'll try my luck at Sydney.

I wonder what they're getting me .. I wonder ..

p/s: Don't worry.. Even if you get me a pretty bag, I'd treasure it..
