At first I thought there would be so much to do that I wouldn't be able to manage. On the first day, I ended up getting all geared up and was extremely grumpy when I nearly missed the bus (Winnie become my victim of outburst). To top it all, it had to be a pouring Monday~ Yikes! Things couldn't have been worse. Well, it just DID~! All the complications and troubles of needing to go through the safety induction for PC2 lab and all is really getting on my nerves.. I had missed out on the previous session since they coincidentally banged into my heavy-packed tormentous week. I need to accomplish these bothersome procedures before I can actually start handling with the cell cultures for my project. Jin Jia Ma Huan leh~
Well, at least I get to finish part of my finance assignments instead of hanging around doing nothing at all.
Nonetheless, I DID manage to sneak into the lab on the first day to observe the handling of cell cultures. And wait till you get to know the history of the cells, they're actually 40-YEARS-OLD~! The samples were taken from the placenta of a woman 40 years ago when the placenta actually turned carcinogenic during pregnancy. Had no idea whether it occurred during late pregnancy or during the early stages and the pregnancy had to be terminated.
Yipee~! I've touched a 40-YEAR-OLD carcinogenic cell line!!
*getting all excited about it*
