My 1st memorable night out

Literally, it doesn't mean that it's my first night outing.. It's something out of the blue being planned! Saturday was initially thought to be an ordinary unruffled day (Okay okay.. maybe more of a boring one) before the girls proposed that we go "jalan-jalan" at Darby Street and prolly stop by for dinner as well.

At first, I thought we'd catch the bus since the bus stop is nearer and my legs are feeling terribly weak but things didn't work out as I planned. So we took the train instead after waiting 30min without a bus in sight. My poor legs. Having reached Darby St. in one piece, we chose to have Vietnamese cuisine as there's pretty much nothing to do except to dine in. EJ miraculously joined us for dinner when we were about to make our order since his semester break commenced. T.T Pity us. Dun have break~

Looking through the liquor menu when ironically I'm not ordering any.
Act pose nia nia~

JL, looking as attractive as ever, what's more enhanced by the candle light
MK with her KicKapoo~! Nah. It's HeinekenThe camera doesn't like me. No candle light effect~
Some giggly moments, scheming an after-dinner plan it seems

CLUBBING !!!!

And our safe escort for the night are none other than

Strapping boys - F and EJ

The gurlz and F on the dance floor

We dropped by Customs as starter before we proceeded to Frosties. The girls had a few drinks whilst I only had a small glass of Vodka Coke which was enough to make my stomach churn and with the terrible music blasting in my ears, I was feeling dreadfully nauseous for a moment there.

Try going onto the dance floor with weak legs and dance really hard for a few hours straight, it'd be a miracle if you didn't get blisters at the end of the day. EJ and F were good enough to direct us girls away from drunkards and those who intended to approach us. Thanks a lot guys~!

Being all sweaty and fatigue, we got home around 3am and turned in some hours later. It was a great experience after all except the fact that the music was awful and guess I'm not cut out for any alcohol beverages.

If my parents were to know about this, I'm DEAD MEAT~!

Mooncake Festival Celebration

After a tiring trip to the Hunter Valley Winery, we proceed to the mooncake festival celebration organized by the Singapore society at Edward's Hall Cellar. As planned, the celebration was supposed to commence at 6:30pm but we arrived at seven thinking that the party had already started when it actually hasn't. Hehe. So much for Malaysian timing.. I guess since Singapore's in the same time zone as Malaysia, we share the same concept for making it ON TIME..

The society also organized a competition whereby attendants can form a group of three and make up dishes that is enough for 15 people. The group which gets the most vote from the other attendants would stand a chance to win AUD50. Hmm..I must say.. A not-so-attracting amount and the runner up doesn't get anything plus being too exhausted after the winery trip, we dun want to go through the hustle to actually cook for the celebration. So we went empty-handed..

More pictures ahead:

Raymond's getting so excited about the lantern that he got from JL..
Maybe the bamboo stick was too long, more like a fishing pole
and I join in the fun.. Woo hoo~
Me and JL under the spotlight.. And JL finally got back her pink lantern
The Ji Mui gang - MK, EC & JL. Me as their photographer T.T
Here we go.. Up, Up and Away~!!!
Us and Kim Fei with cap to hid his disturbing long hair. XD

From left--> Nick, Ooi Yin, Chin Ling, MK, EC and Me.. Not forgetting Kim Fei at the back
Raymond joined in as well
The biotech trio with JL's symbolic baby pink lantern

A total of 37 of us (I guess) went around parading half the campus with brightly lit lanterns

After celebration drink

After around 12am, we continued going to International House for some wine-drinking to make up for the after dinner celebration from Nick's 21st birthday. There, we played endless rounds of games and the loser gets the punishment by drinking. The gentlemen were good enough to make me my drink with only a 10% of alcohol mix (or even less) with the rest being carbonated soft drink. My so-called absolute zero tolerance to alcohol is already well-known as it is.

Quote MK, "Dun give her anymore, we won't want to carry her home.." Thanks a lot~.. you're actually embarrassing me a lot with that..

I only found out not long ago that I'm not in any of the pictures.. Hehe.. But I'm really there.. We played till 5am in the morning with my contact lenses killing my eyes and the wind chilled us to our spines as we walk back to our room.

JL busy thinking of a number in the number-guessing game we played

Some very hilarious moments.. And as EC has noticed, my hand managed to get into the photo

Frank.. You're right, you can't take much of alcohol.. We 're of the same kind man~! XD
JL's eyes getting smaller and eyebags heavier as the night crawled by. The gentlemen of the night - Suresh and Nick

Hunter Winery Tour

I never thought I would agree on going for a winery tour judging from the fact that I have absolute zero tolerance to alcohol. But it doesn't hurt to go for an eye-opening experience, moreover the trip only cost around AUD17 with both transport and lunch provided.

Our first stop - Tempus Two Cellar
Can't resist the lovely picturesque scenery
Lurve the corridors
A cool landmark that greeted us right at the entrance
Ready for some wine tasting gurls?
KAMPAI!~

Noticed my blushed face? I only had a few sips 'n' nips.
Told you I had zero tolerance XD
The 3 o' us posing when others are purchasing liquor
Another one of my blushed face. XP
JL can't resist cuddling the bottle-shaped furnishing
Out in the open again, to have the cool breeze restore me back to normal
Me and ever-so-cutie JL in baby shades of pink

A wine truck beside a Cheezie factory.. Weird huh?
Nah.. there's actually a liquor factory
Tasted some fine cheese at the factory.. including cheddar, feta, soft cheese, goat milk cheese and blue cheese.. A piece of advice though, dun try blue cheese if you're going for a date. It'll scare your date away.

Lucky. The lovely attention-seeking golden retriever that can't resist to have everyone scratch his head (Wonder if it has fleas), but it doesn't seem to like photo-taking no matter how hard JL tried. Alas, when we gave up, Lucky went like this..
*stick tongue out* Fat chance you're taking any photos with me.. I'm too good to be in any photos..
Got kinda numb after smiling for so many photos.. By the way, each barrels of wine costs about AUD25K.. or was it 250K? Blek.. never mind. Alcohol do give some effects of short memory span
Nice sunny day
Nice sunny day with me in it~ XD
A peculiar tree with exceptionally broad barrel-like trunk
Cam-whoring on the bus before we head to the garden for some yummy lunch..
Um um.. I'm starving~!
Milk maids HM and MK
JL can't resist cuddly teddy bears.
Even I can't resist the temptation to cuddle one myself
Huh? Why MK posing liddat? Is she calling for someone?
Yeap. She's calling for me to join her in this photo shoot.

Peach Sparkling Wine- The one juz right for me. Wonder why? Coz it has only 5.5% of alcohol
Golden Tango Cream - also called "Love in a Bottle"
Almost like bailey with a combination of caramel and coconut

Our last drink- Chili Schnapps
Quite a peculiar drink.. Oh okay, it's just weird~!!
Do I really need to finish the whole glass in one gulp?
An expensive exquisite water bottle
Posing again in front of a barrel wagon with the peach sparkling wine

A final photo of us at the last winery for the day

All in all, the whole tour was really an eye-opener; however, it would be great if the stops between the three different wineries hadn't been so time-consuming. According to JL (who was laughing non-stop as she was telling me this), I was so exhausted at the end of the trip that I was practically sleeping with my mouth wide open. Plus my deepest apologies to MK for using her shoulder as my head rest for the whole journey. Guess I really had fun~ It's a worthwhile trip after all.
